More Than a Roof. A Real Life.
Xavier's House wraps every young person in the full support they need to thrive not just survive. Here's how we do it.
We Buy Homes. We Fix Them. We Give Them Away — Forever.
Xavier's House acquires older homes in neighborhoods that need revitalization. We renovate them and the older residents help. Under the guidance of our founder, a licensed former general contractor, young people learn real construction skills while building the very homes they'll live in.
Once renovated, those homes become permanent residences free of charge, for as long as a resident needs them. We don't rent. We don't charge. We house.
Real Work. Real Wages. Real Futures.
Every resident who is able has the opportunity to earn. From construction and renovation to facility management, administration, and community outreach Xavier's House is a working organization, and our young residents are part of the team.
We believe the dignity of honest work is one of the most powerful gifts we can give. Our residents don't just live here they help build it.
Learning Without Limits
Tutoring, GED programs, college prep, vocational certifications, and financial literacy — every resident has access to the education that fits their path.
Health is a Human Right
Regular medical and dental checkups, mental health counseling, prescription coverage, and emergency care because a healthy child is a child who can dream.
Joy Is Part of the Plan
A child who has been through hardship deserves more than stability they deserve delight. Xavier's House invests in music lessons, art classes, recreational activities, and creative expression as core parts of our program.
Because the goal was never just to keep kids off the street. The goal is for them to love their lives.
